In the midst of a busy back-to-school season, the Montreal History Group has enthusiastically prepared its fall programming!

Muffins & Methodology will begin next week with a presentation by Kristen Howard (McGill University) on a little-known issue, the work of inmates in the digitization of archives. In November, Sandrine Labelle (UQAM) will present her doctoral research which focuses on the history of international development in Quebec. In December, Roderick MacLeod (University of Alberta) will focus on family strategies surrounding burials in 19th century Montreal.

Exceptionally, Jeudis d’histoire will begin in the fall. We will have the chance to welcome Azzurra Tafuro (Università degli Studi di Padova) for a conference on abortion, contraception and women’s health in Cold War Italy.
