Six members of the Montreal History Group will take part in the New perspectives on research and practice in the history of labour, social movements and capitalism study days, organized at the invitation of the Canadian Committee on Labour History.

Kathleen Durocher will present a paper entitled “Maladie professionnelle, lutte internationale et approche transnationale : réflexions sur l’étude de l’interdiction des allumettes de phosphore blanc au Canada (1840-1914)”. Paul-Etienne Rainville, Andrée Lévesque, Magda Fahrni and Daniel Ross will chair various panels and Camille Robert is a member of the organizing committee.

The event will take place on February 22 and 23, 2024 at the Salle des boiseries (J-2805) of the Université du Québec à Montréal. As places are limited, it is mandatory to register via this online form. The full program is available here.
